The trail to Eaton Canyon Falls is a moderately easy 3.5 mile out and back hike to a 40-foot waterfall in the heart of the San Gabriel mountains. The trail is fun for the entire family but gets more rugged as you near the falls with many stream crossings and areas of boulder-hopping and mild rock climbing.
John Muir once described the waterfall as “a charming little thing, with a low, sweet voice, singing like a bird, as it pours from a notch in a short ledge, some thirty or forty feet into a round mirror-pool.”
